Amainstay in the local gardening community, Norm is the longtime co-host of KNPR‘s “Desert Bloom“, a radio program that educates listeners on a variety of topics related to gardening successfully in desert bio-regions. Inspired by what he felt was a need for a broader palette of unique, drought, tolerant, desert adapted plants, the seeds for Mojave Bloom were scattered through his 30+ years of working in the the Las Vegas Valley. Rooted in environmentalism, and a commitment to supporting the community through sustainable landscaping and gardening practices through his original business, Schilling Horticulture Group, in 2023 Norm branched out to gather a dedicated group of people to help bring his vision of a specialty nursery to fruition. Located on a property in the “Cultural Corridor“ of downtown Las Vegas, these sister companies bring elevated services, products, and experience to the residents of Las Vegas and the surrounding communities.
